Lions Tally Two More Wins In The Sunkissed Games

PLANT CITY, Fl. – The Penn State Behrend softball team had two wins on Friday over Emerson and Saint Joseph's (Me.) at the Sunkissed Games.

Game 1
* Behrend took on Emerson on Friday in their first game winning 12-2
* Carson Hauser (Westfield, NY/Westfield Academy) had three runs with three singles in five at-bats
* Alayna Derzak (Seven Fields, PA / Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic) had two doubles, one each in the sixth and seventh innings
* The Lions tallied five runs in the sixth inning along with four in the seventh
* Behrend held Emerson to one run in the first inning and one more in the third

Game 2
* The Lions took on Saint Joseph's in the second game on Friday, winning 6-5
* Behrend was leading the Monks 3-0 in the fourth inning
* Saint Joseph's later took the lead in the sixth inning before the Lions came back in the bottom of the seventh off a Mackenzie McIntire (Stoneboro, PA/Lakeview) RBI then an AJ Nichols (Pittsburgh, PA/Shaler) single to left field to bring McIntire in to win the game
* Ashley Seamon (West Allegheny, PA/West Allegheny) had two runs along with one hit and an RBI
