Hauser Named NFCA All-Region

ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend senior softball outfielder Carson Hauser (Westfield, NY/Westfield Academy) was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Region Third Team, announced on Wednesday.

Hauser is receiving her second consecutive All-Region accolade, having been named third team in 2018. She played in all 40 games for the Lions this season. In 150 at-bats, Hauser tallied 61 hits, 43 runs, 22 RBIs, four doubles, three triples, and two home runs. Hauser has Behrend's second most singles in a season, behind her own record in 2018. She finished the season with a .407 batting average. She broke the record for most stolen bases in a season with 27, along with career stolen bases with 67.

Hauser is the only player in Behrend history with 50 stolen bases and 150 hits. She had her best game against Hilbert where she went 4-for-5, tallying two RBIs and one run off along with two doubles. Hauser finished the season with a team-high 18 multiple-hit games and five multiple-RBI games. She finished the season ranked first in hits, plate appearances, and at-bats in the AMCC. Hauser also ranked second in runs, second in stolen bases, and fourth in batting average.
