ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend softball team swept Pitt-Greensburg in a non-conference doubleheader on Sunday.

Game 1
* In game one, Behrend shut out the Bobcats, 8-0
* This was the second straight shutout for the Lions
* Behrend scored their first run in the bottom of the first off a Mackenzie McIntire (Stoneboro, PA/Lakeview) single to right center
* The Lions picked up another run in the fourth, taking a 2-0 lead
* Behrend was red hot in the fifth inning, scoring six straight runs, putting an end to the game at 8-0
* The Lions had 13 hits with six being extra base hits
* McIntire went 3-for-3 with two RBIs
* Kayla Lindberg (Austinburg, OH/Geneva) pitched the complete game, giving up just two hits  

Game 2
* Behrend took down Pitt-Greensburg in game two of the day, 12-2
* The Lions came out swinging, scoring four runs in the top of the first, three in the third, and five in the fourth to finish the game midway through the fifth inning
*  In the third, Cami McNany (Emlenton, PA/Allegheny-Clarion Valley) doubled down the line to score Maddie Smith (DuBois, PA/DuBois), followed by an RBI from Emi Curcio (Perryopolis, PA/Frazier) and Ashleigh Schmidt (Sarver, PA/Freeport) had a triple and scored on a throwing error
* Kayla Salvini (McDonald, PA/Fort Cherry) had her first collegiate at-bat in the fourth inning, hitting a triple down the right field line and sending home a runner
* McNany had her third hit of the day in the fourth, ending the game 3-for-3 with three RBIs
* Once again, Behrend had six extra base hits
* The Lions had five stolen bases in game two, with four in the first inning
* Maria Jones (0) tallied a win to improve to 2-0 on the mound
* McIntire was perfect on the day going 5-for-5 with a double and three RBIs
