Three Named NFCA All-Region

ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend softball players Mackenzie McIntire (Stoneboro, PA/Lakeview), Kylee Bundy (DuBois, PA/DuBois), and Maria Jones (Wilcox, PA/Johnsonburg) were named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Region team, announced on Friday. McIntire and Bundy were named to the first team while Jones received third-team honors.

McIntire received her second All-Region honors after being named to the second team in 2018. McIntire appeared in 29 games for the Lions. In 96 at-bats, she tallied 54 hits, 37 RBIs, 17 runs, 17 doubles, and four home runs. She has a .563 batting average, .583 on-base percentage, and .865 slugging percentage. She has contributed 83 total bases and a .911 fielding percentage. On May 1, McIntire tallied her 47th career double to beat the Behrend record as well as her 100th career RBI. She has a total of 51 career doubles. McIntire has 17 multiple hit games this season and 13 multiple RBI games.

Bundy earned her first All-Region bid this season. Bundy appeared in 30 games for the Lions at second base. In 91 at-bats, she tallied 42 hits, 39 runs, 12 doubles, four triples, two homeruns, and 34 RBIs. She also contributed six stolen bases and 68 total bases. She currently has a .462 batting average, .509 on-base percentage, and .747 slugging percentage. Bundy has had 15 multiple hit games and 10 multiple RBI games.

Jones was named to the NFCA All-Region third-team as a freshman. Jones played in 29 games for the Lions this season. In 98 at-bats, Jones tallied 39 runs, 46 hits, 13 doubles, four triples, 17 RBIs, and 22 stolen bases. She currently has a .469 batting average, .522 on-base percentage, and .684 slugging percentage. Jones appeared in 12 games on the mound and has a 7-1 record. In 51 innings pitched, she struck out 29 batters and has a 3.16 ERA.
