ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend softball team was eliminated from the NCAA Division III Softball Regional on Saturday, falling 1-0 to No. 16 St. John Fisher.

Key Moments:

* Junior pitcher Ashleigh Schmidt (Sarver, PA/Freeport) and Emily Trotman were in a pitcher's duel in game five of the tournament
* The teams went through five scoreless innings until the Cardinals got on the board in the top of the sixth
* St. John Fisher used two hits to get one run across the plate
* The two hits set up the sacrifice fly, sending Maddie Klidonas off of third and home for the eventual game-winning run
* Sammie Torlish drove in the game winner with one out in the frame
* The Lions got two hits in their last effort in the seventh but could not get the runner off second to tie the game
* Left-fielder Allie Klinowski made a diving save just before the ball toward the left-field line to halt Behrend from scoring the game-tying run
* Trotman held Behrend to four hits in the game while striking out four in the complete-game shutout
