Behrend Softball Downs Heidelberg; Falls to Trine
The Penn State Behrend softball team split a pair of games on the final day of Spring Break in Clermont, Florida. The Lions defeated Heidelberg 5-1 and fell to Trine 3-1 on Friday morning.

CLERMONT, Fla. - The Penn State Behrend softball team split a pair of games on the final day of Spring Break in Clermont, Florida. The Lions defeated Heidelberg 5-1 and fell to Trine 3-1 on Friday morning.
Game Two:
Score: Penn State Behrend 5, Heidelberg 1
Records: Penn State Behrend (3-6), Heidelberg (3-2)
Noteworthy:
* Alaina Wyckoff (Elma, NY/Iroquois) got her first win of the season, allowing just one run on four hits
* Kylee Bundy (DuBois, PA/DuBois) went 2-for-4 with three runs
* Jocelyn McNany (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley) had two hits and two RBIs
* Cami McNany (Emlenton, PA/Allegheny-Clarion Valley) managed a double that produced two RBIs to start the first inning
* Nadia Bongiorni (Avella, PA/Avella) and Bundy singled before McNany drove them in for a 2-0 lead
* Heidelberg cut the lead with a run in the fourth, its first and only run of the game
* With two outs in the fifth, the Lions added two more runs for a 4-1 lead
* J. McNany and Samantha Manioci (Rochester, NY/Odessey Academy) each had an RBI single in the fifth

Noteworthy:
* Trine pitcher Anna Koeppl struck out seven and did not allow an earned run to help the Storm past the Lions
* Behrend got on the board first in the bottom of the opening frame
* Maria Jones (Wilcox, PA/Johnsonburg) got on with an error to start and came home on an RBI single by C. McNany
* Trine used a home run in the fourth to take the lead for good and added an insurance run in the top of the seventh
* Kayla Lindberg (Austinburg, OH/Geneva) started before Ashleigh Schmidt (Sarver, PA/Freeport) came in for relief
* The Lions tallied five total hits
