Behrend Softball Splits on Final Day of Spring Break; McNany Reaches 100 Hits
The Penn State Behrend softball team split a pair of games on their final day of Spring Break. The Lions defeated Otterbein 6-1 and fell to Lebanon Valley, 2-0, on Friday afternoon.

CLERMONT, Fla. – The Penn State Behrend softball team split a pair of games on their final day of Spring Break. The Lions defeated Otterbein 6-1 and fell to Lebanon Valley, 2-0, on Friday afternoon.
Game One: Lebanon Valley 2, Penn State Behrend 0
Records: Lebanon Valley (6-1), Penn State Behrend (5-4)
Key Moments:
* Scoreless through two innings, the Flying Dutchwomen got on the board in the third inning
* The Lions tallied their lone hit by Meghan Petitte (Sugarcreek, OH/Garaway) in the second
* Lebanon Valley took advantage of a pair of errors to make it 1-0 in the third and then posted another run in the second off a walk and then a double
* Abby Tingley (Union City, PA/Union City) got the start in the circle and fanned three batters in the loss
Game Two: Penn State Behrend 6, Otterbein 1
Records: Otterbein(4-6), Penn State Behrend (6-4)
Key Moments:
* The Lions plated three runs in the third inning for the quick lead
* Jocelyn McNany's (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley) smacked a double and Emi Curcio (Perryopolis, PA/Frazier) knocked McNany in with her first triple of the season before scoring on a single by Petitte
* Behrend got the 3-0 lead on a Kalya Salvni (McDonald, PA/Fort Cherry) single to send home Petitte
* Otterbein added a run in the fifth inning but the Lions answered with two more in the top of the sixth and getting an insurance run in the seventh
* Curcio ad Petitte led with a pair of hits while Kayla Lindberg (Austinburg, OH/Geneva) picked up with the win
* Lindberg allowed five hits and one run, and striking out two
* McNany registered a pair of hits to reach 100 for her career
