CLERMONT, FL – The Penn State Behrend softball team fell to Ohio Northern 4-2 in game one and then dropped a 13-5 (five inning) decision to Hiram on Thursday afternoon in Clermont, Florida.
Game One: Ohio Northern 4, Penn State Behrend 2
Records: Penn State Behrend (4-3), Ohio Northern (2-5)
Key Moments:
* The first game was a pitchers dual with only six runs scored on 12 hits combined
* Abby Tingley (Union City, PA/Union City) went the distance and struck out five, allowing one earned run
* Ohio Northern pitcher Ashley Lenser fanned eight and did not allow an earned run in the two the Lions score
* The Polar Bears managed three runs in the first two innings for the early lead
* In the fifth, Behrend got on the board starting with a Sierra Williams' (Grove City, PA/Lake View) single to left field
