Amy Oldach (Erie/Villa Maria) has been named women's basketball player of the week. Oldach was named to the Behrend Tip-Off All-Tournament team by putting up standout numbers in a 1-1 team effort. She had 18 points, seven rebounds, six assists and three steals in a one-point loss to Fredonia St., then followed up with 15 points, seven boards, five assists and six steals in a win over Grove City. For the weekend she averaged 16.5 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 5.5 apg and 4.5 spg, finishing as the high scorer for the tournement.
Anne Lawrence (State College/State College) has been named women's swimmer of the week. In a closely contested dual meet win over AMCC rival Frostburg St., Lawrence was a member of the school record-breaking 200 medley relay. She also won the 100 meter butterfly, just missing another school record. She added a point for the blue and white with a 4th in the 100 backstroke.
Jake DesRoches (Fairfax/WT Woodson) has also been named male swimmer of the week for the Behrend Lions. In a dual meet win over Frostburg St., DesRoches was a member of the winning 200 medley relay team which broke a school record. He also won the 100 meter backstroke.
