Women's Basketball Earns Third Straight Win

ERIE, Pa. - Dani Reinwald (Clymer, NY/Clymer Central) registered a new season-high 22 points, six steals and five blocks to lead Penn State Behrend past Medaille 82-63 in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) action on Wednesday night.
The Lions (7-7, 5-2 AMCC) dominated on the both ends of the court to extend the winning streak to three Behrend registered their highest scoring total this season at 82 and posted their largest margin on the boards with a 67-36 advantage. Reinwald tallied her 10th double-double with the addition of 17 rebounds. Rachael Razzano (New Castle, PA/New Castle) hit a new career high for points with 12.
The Mavericks (1-12, 1-6 AMCC) relied on the three players in double figures, including Marceann Dunning with a team-high 17 points. Taina Graham added 14 points on 8-for-10 shooting from the line, while Rayann Call recorded 12 points.
The Lions put up 20 points or more in all but one quarter, taking a double-digit lead after outscoring Medaille 20-11 in the third period and getting 10 of those points from the charity stripe.
Behrend continued to their first-half dominance into the second half, turning a 42-33 nine-point halftime into a 62-43 advanatage before the final quarter.
Heidi Langhorst (Corapolis, PA/Our Lady of the Sacred Heart) joined Reinwald with double-digit points and rebounds. The newcomer tallied 12 points and 10 boards for her first double-double of the season.
The Lions return to action on Saturday at Mt. Aloysius. Game time is 4 p.m.
