Behrend Lions Defeat Alfred State

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's basketball team remains undefeated in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) action with a 74-49 victory over Alfred State on Wednesday night.

Records:  Penn State Behrend (14-2, 8-0 AMCC), Alfred State (7-6, 4-2 AMCC)

Key Moments:

* The win marked the fifth time this season the Lions held an opponent under 50 points
* Behrend also held Alfred State to 25 percent shooting from the floor and 18 field goals
* Freshman forward Alexis Furyes (Medina, OH/Highland) pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds and made a season-high seven blocks
* Senior guard Caitlin Carnuche (New Castle, PA/Mohawk) tallied her ninth double-digit scoring game with a team-high 16 points
* Senior forward Alanna Dibble (Lakewood, NY/Southwestern) was one rebound away from a double-double with 11 points and nine boards
* The Lions took a two-point lead into the second quarter and turned it into a 14-point advantage at halftime outscoring the Pioneers 24-12
* Alfred State's Emily Kelly and Calesta Reigelman each tallied 10 points
* Kara Haslett (Baden, PA/Ambridge) finished with 13 points, four assists and three steals
