ERIE, Pa. - Penn State Behrend women's basketball freshman guard Morgan Altavilla (Pittsburgh, PA/Baldwin) has been named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Athlete of the Week. 

Altavilla averaged 17.0 points and 7.0 rebounds to help the Lions to a 2-1 record over the holiday break. She had double-digit points in all three games, leading Behrend with 22 points in a 71-65 win over Saint Mary's (MN). Altavilla tallied 14 of her 22 points in the fourth quarter to get the Lions past Cardinals. She shot 75 percent from the free-throw line and averaged 2.7 assists and 32.3 minutes per game for the week.
