PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's basketball team pulled out a 71-51 win over Carlow in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) opener for both teams on Wednesday night at the Donahue Pavilion.

* This was the first meeting between the Celtics and the Lions since the 1983-84 season
* Behrend picked up its first-ever program win over Carlow
* At a team, the Lions set three new season highs including rebounds this season (57), assists (20) and blocks (13)
* Rachel Majewski (Erie, PA/Villa Maria Academy) led Behrend in scoring for the fourth time this season, registering 18 points
* Alexis Furyes (Medina, OH/Highland) made a season-best five blocks to go with 12 points for her fourth double-digit scoring game
* Morgan Altavilla (Pittsburgh, PA/Baldwin) nearly had half of the team's second-quarter points with nine and finished with 14
* Altavilla also had a pair of blocks to set a career high

* After taking a 17-7 lead after the first quarter, Behrend scored the first 15 out of 23 points in the second for a commanding 32-15 lead
