Altavilla, Majewski Career Highs Help Women's Basketball Past Alfred State
Morgan Altavilla and Rachel Majewski had career highs to lead the Penn State Behrend women’s basketball team past Alfred State in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) on Wednesday night.
ALFRED, NY – Morgan Altavilla (Pittsburgh, PA/Baldwin) and Rachel Majewski (Erie, PA/Villa Maria Academy) had career highs to lead the Penn State Behrend women's basketball team past Alfred State in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) on Wednesday night.

* Altavilla scored a game-high 34 points and pulled down a team-best eight boards, while Majewski tallied 33 points
* Altavilla recorded 11 points in the fourth quarter, helping the Lions break a 69-all tie with 9:22 remaining in the game
* Behrend outscored the Pioneers 24-10 in the final 10 minutes to make the difference
* The Lions went on a 10-1 run in the last 4:44 of the game to hold off Alfred State on the road

* Majewski and Altavilla sandwiches a three pointer each around a free throw by Anna Merry to regain the lead in the first minute of the fourth to keep Behrend out front for good
* Alexis Furyes (Medina, OH/Highland) added seven rebounds, three blocks, three steals and two assists
* As a team, the Lions shot 45.1 percent from the floor and Alfred State managed 44.3 percent
