Women's Basketball Set to Battle St. John Fisher in Home Opener Tuesday Night

ERIE, Pa. - The Penn State Behrend women's basketball team will host non-conference St. John Fisher in their home opener on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Junker Center.

* Senior guard Rachel Majewski (Erie, PA/Villa Maria Academy) entered her final season with 1,288 points and needs 270 more to become the all-time leading scorer in program history
* Majewski had a team-high 18 points vs. Carnegie Mellon

* The Cardinals are 2-0 on the season, defeating Susquehanna 77-64 and Chatham 73-63 this past weekend at the Chatham Tournament
* Senior guard Sidney Tomasso, the reigning Empire 8 Player of the Year, led both games in scoring
* Tomasso combined for 50 points and shot nearly 50 percent from the field while pulling down 18 rebounds in two games
* Head coach Sarah Cartmill enters her first season with St. John Fisher after spending five seasons at Fredonia
* Tomasso was also an WBCA All-American Honorable Mention, D3hoops.com All-Region and First Team All-Conference
