OBERLIN, Ohio – The Penn State Behrend women's basketball team fell short at Oberlin by a score of 71-67 Saturday afternoon.

* The Lions ended the first quarter with a 21-17 advantage over the Yeowomen
* Oberlin was able to start the second half on an 18-4 run capped off by an Ellie Pollock-Ballard three-pointer with 5:07 remaining the half
* Behrend was able to go on a 10-1 run of their own cut the Yeowomen's lead to only one going into halftime (36-35)
* The second half was back-and-forth, but the Lions were able to score the final two baskets of the third quarter to grab a 58-50 advantage
* However, Oberlin came back in the final quarter, outscoring Behrend 21-9
* The Lions held a two-point advantage with 2:27 remaining in regulation, but a bucket from downtown by Lily Najmulski propelled the Yeowomen to a one-point lead with two minutes left
* Oberlin was able to force a few Behrend turnovers down the stretch and capitalized at the free throw line to earn its third win of the season
* Morgan Altavilla (Pittsburgh, PA/Baldwin) tallied a team-high 22 points and six rebounds for Behrend, while Rachel Majewski (Erie, PA/Villa Maria Academy) (14 points) and Madilyn Boyer (Saxonburg, PA/Knoch) (13 points) finished in double-figures. Boyer also recorded five rebounds and four steals
* Off the bench, Rachel Kaulis (McKean, PA/General McLane) chipped in six points to go along with six rebounds
* For the Yeowomen, Camille Zinaich led the team with 22 points. Gabby Pena registered 10 points and seven rebounds, while Krystal Montas pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds off the bench
* Behrend outscored Oberlin in points off turnovers (27-12) and fastbreak points (11-9) on Saturday
