Majewski Ties Career High; Women's Basketball Defeats Altoona in AMCC Game of the Week

ALTOONA, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's basketball team handed Penn State Altoona its first conference loss with an 88-70 decision in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Game of the Week on Wednesday night.

* Behrend gained a double-digit lead in the first quarter, outscoring Altoona 29-16
* Late in the second quarter, Altoona went on a 14-1 run to cut the lead to six at 40-34
* A Rachel Majewski (Erie, PA/Villa Maria Academy) layup put the Lions ahead 44-35 before heading into the locker room

* Behrend was just shy of shooting 50 percent from the floor (49.3) and managed a 41-29 edge in rebounding
