Majewski, DiRienzo Earn D3hoops.com All-Region 7 Honors
Penn State Behrend women’s basketball senior Rachel Majewski (Erie, PA/Villa Maria Academy) and men’s basketball senior Tommy DiRienzo (Pittsburgh, PA/Bethel Park) were named to the D3hoops.com All-Region 7 Second Team.
ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend women's basketball senior Rachel Majewski (Erie, PA/Villa Maria Academy) and men's basketball senior Tommy DiRienzo (Pittsburgh, PA/Bethel Park) were named to the 2025 D3hoops.com All-Region 7 Second Team.
Majewski adds All-Region honors to her accolades this season. She lands on the Second Team after earning the AMCC's prestigious Player of the Year award. Majewski also was named to the All-AMCC First Team for the third consecutive season. She led the conference in points per game (17.1) and in total field goals (191). Majewski was ranked in NCAA Division III statistics in field goals and total points. She became the all-time leading scorer and set the mark with 1,750 career points. Majewski led the team in scoring in 13 contests and registered 20 or more points in nine games. Her best performance tied a career-high 33 points at Altoona.
DiRienzo, a First Team All-AMCC selection, finished second in the AMCC in points per game (20.1), total points (503) and made free throws (114). In 16 conference games, DiRienzo led the AMCC with 21.5 points per game and 344 total points. He was also second in the conference in made free throws (73) and three-point percentage (43.4) and tied for sixth in free-throw percentage (81.1). After one postseason game, DiRienzo stood second in the AMCC in points per game (20.0). To go along with his scoring, he recorded a team-high 5.5 rebounds per game and was second on the team in blocks per game (0.8). This season, DiRienzo tallied double figures in 22 games. During four contests this year, he delivered 30 or more points with two of the games being in conference play. DiRienzo scored 40-plus points for the first time in his career with a career-best 42 points on 13 field goals and 15 free throws vs. Thiel and notched a double-double against Canton (18 points/10 rebounds) over Christmas break. He became the program's all-time leading scorer in February, ending his career 1,836 points.
