BROCKPORT, NY – The Penn State Behrend wrestling team had two wrestlers place at the Brockport Open held on Saturday afternoon at the Special Events & Recreation Center (SERC).

* Freshman Alex Barnett (Warren, PA/Eisenhower) placed fifth at the 157 weight class with a 4-2 record
* Barnett started out 2-1, getting wins bye a medical forfeit and then his first collegiate pin over Kyle Liguori of Alfred State (0:55)
* Barnett posted a 6-4 decision over Jesse Johson of Alfred State for fifth place
* William Brown (Burgettstown, PA/Burgettstown) was the second wrestler to place for the Lions, taking sixth at 165
* Brown pinned Alex Hepel of Buffalo WC in 1:22 for his first collegiate fall
* He dropped to the consolation round and fell in the fifth-place match to Justin Weimer of Scranton
* At 125, Michael Binni (Canonsburg, PA/Canon McMillan) got his first pin and technical falls of the season before falling in sudden victory
