Wrestling Team Competes at W&J Invitational

WASHINGTON, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend wrestling team had 10 wrestlers compete at the Washington & Jefferson Invitational hosted on Saturday. 

Key Moments:


* The Lions had three wrestlers post two wins on the day
* At 125, Michael Binni (Canonsburg, PA/Canon McMillan) posted two technical falls, winning 16-1 and 21-6 to improve to four wins on the season, including three by technical fall
Jatin Chaudhary (Hoshiarpur, India/Vasishat Bharti) was competing at 197, earning a pin over Mickeal McCurdy in 2:05 and then another win by forfeit
* Joe Newara (Harborcreek, PA/Harbor Creek) was the leader for Behrend at heavyweight. He pinned his first opponent at 1:21 and then defeated Parker from Heidelberg, 7-2
