ERIE, Pa. – The Alfred State wrestling team won six out of the 10 bouts to defeat Penn State Behrend 31-13 in their home opener on Saturday night in the Junker Center.

* The Lions won three of the first five bouts
* Behrend only fell behind on forfeits at 125 and 141 for a small 12-10 deficit
* The Pioneers won the next four straight bouts to pull ahead 31-10 with heavyweight left
* Sophomore Michael Binni (Canonsburg, PA/Canon McMillan) picked up his team-leading 11th win at 133
* Binni never trailed in his match, defeating Jesse Pitoni by a decision score of 8-7
