* This is the home opener and the first dual match of the season for Lions
* Michael Binni (Canonsburg, PA/Canon-McMillan) will be honored for senior day while the team is hosting "Grapple 4 Grub" and asking for donated canned goods to benefit the Lion Pantry on campus
* Behrend competed a week ago at the RIT Invitational
* Joe Newara (Harborcreek, PA/Harbor Creek) and Reno DiCesare (McKees Rocks, PA/Montour) placed fifth and eighth, respectively
* Newara has nine pins in a team-leading 11 wins this season
* DiCesare is second on the team with four wins
* Binni registered his first major decision last weekend, defeating Charles Timber of Penn Tech, 19-11

* Charlie Grygas is ranked sixth in the nation in the 174 weight class
* Grygas recently won the title at the RIT Invitational at 174 with a 10-9 decision in the final
* Anthony Cascen and Isaac Mathews also placed at RIT, taking third and fifth respectively
* As a team, the Lakers placed ninth out of 16 teams with 61.5 points
