Behrend Wrestling Competes at Baldwin Wallace Invitational

BEREA, Ohio – Zach Dellinger (Williamsville, NY/Williamsville) and Lane Dellaquila (Saint Marys, PA/Elk County Catholic) each placed seventh to lead the Penn State Behrend wrestling team at the Baldwin Wallace Invitational on Saturday.

Key Moments:

* Dellinger, competing at 125, posted a 2-2 record to place seventh
* Dellinger won by decision 15-9 in his first bout and then posted a 15-0 technical fall to get him in a bout to place
* Dellaquila tallied a 3-2 record on the day, earning two major decision wins and one by a tiebreaker
* Dellaquila fell 2-1 in the sixth-place bout at the 165 weight class
* Cole Neil (Saint Marys, PA/Saint Marys) registered a 3-2 record at 141 for the Lions
* Neil pinned Dru Wilson of Lourdes in 6:56 to advance to the championship second round
* Neil dropped to the consolation round and picked up a pair of decision wins (3-2, 12-8)
* At heavyweight, Eric Morales (San Antonio, TX/Burbank) tallied two wins
* Morales fell in his first bout by sudden victory an then won by forfeit and a pin
* Morales pinned Joziah Smith of Adrian in 1:28
* Behrend had six wrestlers post a 1-2 record on the day
