ERIE, Pa. – The Division II Gannon B wrestling team tallied a 34-14 non-conference win over Penn State Behrend on Thursday night in the Junker Center.
Key Moments:
* The Golden Knights opened with four straight wins, starting at 125
* At 149, the fourth bout of the night, Steffan Lynch (North East, PA/North East) had a 6-5 lead heading into the final period
* Manuel Gonzales used a takedown to post an 8-7 come-back decision win
* Rudy Brown (Burgettstown, PA/Burgettstown) collected his second technical fall of the season at 157
* Brown managed to get to 22 points in 4:54 over Chance Kimmy, improving to 15-0 in dual-meet action
* In the next bout at 165, Konnor Tubin (Pewaukee, WI/Pewaukee) won in sudden victory over Christian Scheller
* Tubin used a reversal in the third period to get to 11-all and forcing overtime
* Tubin got a takedown with less than 30 seconds left in the match for his 17th win of the season
* Matt Caldwell (North Tonawanda, NY/Starpoint) registered his second straight pin at heavyweight
* Caldwell used 1:22 off the clock to pin Daeshawn Larry for his eighth fall of the season
