Penn State Behrend Women's Soccer Defeats Pitt-Greensburg 6-0

The Behrend Lions are back to their winning ways.  After a 1-0 loss to conference rival La Roche the blue and white have been playing good soccer.  The Behrend Lions followed the loss with two shutout wins over conference opponents. 

The blue and white entered the day with a 3-8-1 overall record and a 2-1 conference record looking to prove themselves against the Pitt-Greensburg Bobcats.

The Behrend Lions started out with a goal with 15 minutes left in the first half.  Lindsey Steinsdoerfer (Pittsburgh/North Hills) scored on an unassisted goal to make the score 1-0.  The blue and white opened up the second half with a furry.  The Behrend Lions scored five times to put the game out of reach.  The blue and white had goals from Emily Lewis (Washington/Bishop Canevin), Nikki Frisbee (Valencia/Mars) added two, Kelly Thill (Wexford/Pine-Richland), and Mia Baltutat (Pittsburgh/Upper St. Clair). 

This brought the Behrend Lions to a 4-8-1 overall record and 3-1 in conference play.  The blue and white will be on the road for their next two games taking on Pitt-Bradford on October 14th and Frostburg State on October 18th.  The Behrend Lions will be back on the Behrend Fields on October 22nd against Hilbert.
