Penn State Behrend senior goalkeeper Kayla Frost (Venetia/Peters Township) has been named ECAC and AMCC Defensive Player of the Week for the week of September 28, 2009.

Frost had a perfect week, not yielding a goal in 200 minutes of play.  She made three saves in a 1-0 victory over Grove City, and then turned away nine shots in a scoreless double overtime tie on the road against Penn State Altoona.

Frost has continually showed up big for Coach O' Driscoll's squad this season.  Frost has recorded six shutouts in the nine games that have been played.

The Behrend Lions are coming off of an AMCC road win at Pitt-Bradford in which Frost recorded one of her six shutouts.  Next up for the blue and white will be another conference test against the La Roche Redhawks on Saturday, October 3.  The game will be played at the Behrend Fields.  Penn State Behrend is 6-2-2 overall and 2-0-1 in the AMCC.
