Late Goals Lift Lions Over Medaille, 3-1
Valerie Wagner tallied two goals and Sam Vasy scored another to lead Penn State Behrend past Medaille 3-1 in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) action on Tuesday night.

BUFFALO, NY – Valerie Wagner (Pittsburgh, PA/Montour) tallied two goals and Lindsey Steinsdoerfer (Pittsburgh, PA/North Hills) scored another to lead Penn State Behrend past Medaille 3-1 in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) action on Tuesday night.
The Lions (6-3-1, 2-0 AMCC) netted two goals in the final ten minutes of the game to break a 1-all tie and collect their second straight conference win.
Wagner gave Behrend a 1-0 lead in the 35th minute off an assist from Shelby Lloyd (Beaver, PA/Beaver).
In the second half, Alyssa Unterborn scored the game-tying goal for the Mavericks in the 67th minute.
At the 80:22 mark, Wagner notched her team-leading fifth goal of the season from a pass by Heather Klimuszka (Rochester, NY/Greece Athena). Four minutes later, Steinsdoerfer converted a penalty kick to give the Lions a two-goal cushion.
Robin Siegenthaler (Penns Valley, PA/Penns Valley) made three saves to record the win in the net for Behrend.
The Lions are back in action on Saturday at Pitt-Greensburg. Game time is 3 p.m.
