Klimuszka Named AMCC Offensive Player of the Week

ERIE, Pa. – Senior forward Heather Klimuszka (Rochester, NY/Greece Athena) has been named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.

Klimuszka netted a pair of goals, including the game winner in overtime to lead the Lions past Pitt-Bradford 2-1 to propel Behrend into the AMCC Championship game. She also fired off two shots in the title game, before jumping into the net to play goalie for the penalty kicks against Altoona.

Klimuszka has five goals and three assists for 13 points this season. She also has a 6-5 record when playing goal with two shutouts.

The Lions return to action on Friday against sixth-ranked Wheaton (Ill.) in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Game time is 5 p.m.
