Wagner Named AMCC and ECAC Offensive Player of the Week

ERIE, Pa. – Junior forward Valerie Wagner (Pittsburgh, PA/Montour) has been named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) and ECAC South Region Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.

Wagner led the Lions to two non-conference victories this past week. She scored back-to-back goals to help Behrend erase a 2-0 deficit and defeat Washington & Jefferson, 3-2. Wagner also netted a game-winning goal against Westminster on Saturday.

She paces the squad with three goals and one assist for seven points.

The Lions return to action on Wednesday against Grove City. Game time is at 4 p.m.
