Frostburg St. Too Much For Lions

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's soccer team fell to Frostburg St. 4-1 on Saturday afternoon in the DoubleTree Tartan Cup hosted by Carnegie Mellon.

The Bobcats offensive attack was in full gear, firing 23 shots with 15 shots on goal.

Adria Graham netted the game's first goal just over one minute into play.  The Lions (0-3) answered back 45 seconds later.  Valerie Wagner (Pittsburgh, PA/Montour) dished the ball to Cassi Teti (Elizabeth Forward, PA/Elizabeth Forward) who was able to loft the ball over the charging goalkeeper. 

The offensive outburst only lasted two minutes though with both teams playing to a 1-1 tie at the break.

The second half was a different story.  Frostburg St. scored three times in a 13-minute span to take secure the victory.

Taylor Troyan (Butler, PA/Butler) made a career-high 10 saves between the pipes for Behrend.

The Lions will be back on the pitch tomorrow at 2 p.m. at Carnegie Mellon.
