Women's Soccer Ranked Sixth in Great Lakes Region

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's soccer team moved up in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/Continental Tire Great Lakes Region poll, released on Tuesday.

The Lions (4-1) were previously ranked seventh during week one and are currently in sixth after two shut-out victories this weekend at the Drew Invitational. This is the first time Behrend started the season in the regional rankings. Last season, the Lions finished the year ranked eighth posting a 15-6-1 overall mark.

Behrend has sandwiched a pair of wins around a last-minute loss to Houghton a week ago. The Lions take their two-game winning streak to Alliance, Ohio to take on Mt. Union tonight at 7 p.m.
