CRESSON, Pa. – Allyson Lonas (Johnstown, PA/Conemaugh Township) and Olivia Belack (Upper St. Clair, PA/Upper St. Clair) each scored twice and had an assist to lead Penn State Behrend past Mt. Aloysius 5-1 in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) women's soccer action on Saturday.
The Lions (13-4-1, 7-2 AMCC) jumped out to a four-goal lead after the first 45 minutes of play thanks to a pair of goals from Lonas and Belack. Not only did Lonas and Belack give Behrend an early commanding lead, but they each netted their goals less than a minute apart.
Lonas' goals were one minute apart and scored before the 10-minute mark, while Belack bettered that with two goals in 43 seconds helping the Lions go ahead 4-0 in the first 20 minutes.
Jordan Oberlander (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) scored the fifth goal with 55 seconds left on the clock in the second half off a pass from Lonas.
Alex Bilka (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley) was able to get an assist on Lonas' first goal of the day.
As a team, the Lions held a 22-6 shot advantage. Taylor Troyan (Butler, PA/) made three saves in her 75 minutes in the net. Mia Chis (Zelienople, PA/Quigley) finished the game with one goal against.
Behrend returns to action on Tuesday at Carnegie Mellon. Game time is 7 p.m.
