Three Named ECAC South Players of the Week

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend soccer programs had three players named ECAC South Players of the Week following each teams Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) championship on Saturday.

For the men, Anthony Crivelli (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley) was named Offensive Player of the Week. He scored the game-winning goal in a 1-0 victory over Medaille in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championship on Saturday. He notched two goals and an assist in the tournament run, helping Behrend achieve back-to-back AMCC titles.

Evan Augustine (Pittsburgh, PA/South Park) was selected as Defensive Player of the Week and has been a cornerstone to the Lions defense all season. He shut down opposing offenses as Behrend's defense did not allow a goal in the conference tournament last week, and allowed opponents to take only four shots in the two wins.

For the women's squad, Olivia Belack (Upper St. Clair, PA/Upper St. Clair) was named Co-Offensive Player of the Week after recording her first career hat trick in the semifinals of the AMCC Tournament against Franciscan. She followed up the stellar performance by notching the game-winning goal in overtime of the AMCC Championship, propelling the Lions to their fourth straight conference crown.

Both the men and the women are heading to the NCAA Tournament after clinching the AMCC's automatic bid. The men travel to Calvin for a first round match-up against Ohio Wesleyan Friday at 1:30 p.m. The women take on Brandeis at Misericordia Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
