WASHINGTON, Pa. – Jordan Toohey recorded the game-winning goal and added an assist to lead Washington & Jefferson past Penn State Behrend 2-0 in non-conference women's soccer action on Saturday afternoon.

The Presidents (4-1-1) broke open a scoreless game with two second-half goals for their fourth win of the season. Taylor Troyan (Butler, PA/Butler) made five saves on nine shots for the Lions (3-4).

Behrend put on the pressure to start the second half with a shot by Laura Schaefer (Edinboro, PA/General McLane) going just wide of the goal. Eight minutes later, Washington & Jefferson struck on its first shot of the stanza. Toohey posted her seventh goal of the season with an unassisted tally for a 1-0 lead in the 55th minute.

The President's added an insurance goal at the 75:50 mark. Hayley Skovira netted her third goal of the season on a pass from Toohey for a final 2-0 margin.

The Lions had two corner kicks in the final 10 minutes, but were unable to generate any offense to get on the scoreboard.

Behrend returns to action on Tuesday against Grove City. Game time is 7 p.m.
