Bilka Breaks Career Goals/Points Records; Lions Shut Out Westminster

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – Alex Bilka (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley) recorded her second hat trick of the season to break the program record for career goals and points record with 43 and 109 to lead Penn State Behrend past Westminster 6-0 in non-conference women's soccer action on Thursday night.

The Lions (11-7) handed the Titans (12-3-2) just their third loss of the season behind four goals in the first half and then adding two more in the second stanza. Megan Schwartz (Shaler, PA/Shaler) registered her first two-goal game in a Behrend uniform, while Olivia Belack (Upper St. Clair, PA/Upper St. Clair) tallied one goal and one assist in the win.

Taylor Troyan (Butler, PA/Butler) and Mackenzie Troyan (Butler, PA/Butler) split time in goal for the Lions. T. Troyan posted six saves on nine shots faced and M. Troyan stepped in to make three saves for nine combined stops.

Bilka scored an unassisted goal to get Behrend on the board in the 11^th minute and Belack followed two minutes later off a cross from Jordan Oberlander (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) at the 12:39 mark for a quick 2-0 lead.

Schwartz and Bilka pushed the advantage to 4-0 after the first 45 minutes. Schwartz scored at 32:56 and Belack found Bilka in the 36^th minute for a comfortable lead at halftime.

Bilka, who started the scoring in each half, completed her hat trick and set the goal record after a pass from Caitlin Caldwell (Belle Vernon, PA/Belle Vernon) at the 67:03 mark. Schwartz had the final say for the Lions in the scoring frenzy. She tallied her second goal of the night, unassisted, in the 79^th minute for a 6-0 margin.

Bilka came into the game tied for first with 103 career points and now is on top with 109 (43 goals, 23 assists). 

Behrend returns to action on Wednesday for the semifinals of the AMCC Tournament. Opponent and game time is to be announced.
