Women's Soccer Wins 10th Straight; Belack Ties Single-Season Points Record

ERIE, Pa. – Jordan Oberlander (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) scored a career-high four goals, and Olivia Belack (Upper St. Clair, PA/Upper St. Clair) tallied two goals and three assists to lead Penn State Behrend past Medaille 9-0 in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) action on Tuesday.

The Lions (14-4, 9-0 AMCC) posted their first undefeated season in conference play since 2013 and will ride a 10-game winning streak into the AMCC semifinals on Wednesday. The seven-point performance by Belack helped her tie the program record for most points in a season (45) set by teammate Alex Bilka (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley) last year.

Behrend scored early and often to post their eighth straight win over the Mavericks (0-15, 0-9 AMCC). Belack had a hand in the three goals scored in the first half. She assisted Bilka on the first and then scored the next two on assists from Weyand for a 3-0 halftime lead.

Bilka netted two goals including the game winner on her first tally just 3:15 after the opening whistle. Belack fed a ball through the middle and Bilka finished with a low shot for a quick 1-0 lead. Weyand helped Belack score her 17th and 18th goals of the season in the 19th and 29th minute. The first was off a cross from the left side and the second was scored off a corner kick by Weyand.

In the second half, the Lions recorded four goals in three minutes, 52 seconds for a commanding 7-0 advantage. Oberlander sandwiched two goals around Bilka's second of the night thanks to a penalty kick. Oberlander sent a header past Deejah Burgess on a pass from Laura Schaefer (Erie, PA/General McLane) before burying her second goal from Belack's helper exactly 2:30 later to make it 5-0.

One minute, 38 seconds elapsed and Bilka converted a penalty kick and then Oberlander came back to get the hat trick off Belack's pass 44 seconds later. Oberlander found the back of the net for a fourth time when she dribbled around the goalie and fired a shot at the 58:53 mark for an eight-goal lead.

Sophomore Tessa Munshower (Clearfield, PA/Clearfield) tallied her first goal of the season with a cross from Nicole Evans (South Park, PA/South Park) with under 10 minutes left in the game to give the Lions their largest margin of victory this season.

Sam Morlacci (Apollo, PA/Shady Side Academy) did not need to make a save to get her fourth win and third shutout.

Behrend returns to action on Tuesday against winner of No. 5 Hilbert at No. 4 Mt. Aloysius. Game time is to be determined.
