ERIE, Pa. - The Penn State Behrend women's soccer team has announced its schedule for the 2017 season. The Lions will kick off the campaign on Friday, September 1 with the Herb Lauffer Memorial Tournament at home against Ithaca. The Lions will face the Bombers for the second time in program history. The two teams met in an NCAA first-round game in 2013. The tournament also features Baldwin Wallace and Fredonia.
On Tuesday, September 5, Behrend will travel to UAA team Case Western for the first time since 2008. The Lions return to compete in the Fredonia Tournament and will battle SUNY Oswego and the hosts. Other non-conference home games are against Mt. Union, an NCAA Tournament team from last year, and PAC school Grove City. Behrend will also face PAC opponent Washington & Jefferson and Houghton.
The Lions will play five Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) home contests and four on the road to finish out the regular season.
