Women's Soccer Earns USC Ethics and Sportsmanship Award

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's soccer team earned the United Soccer Coaches (USC) Team Ethics and Sportsmanship Award for the 2021 season.

The award recognizes teams that exhibit fair play, sporting behavior and adhere to the laws of the game. Criteria includes: the team must play the minimum number of matches, not have received any red cards during the season, yellow-card percentage can not exceed 50 percent and the team must be a current college services program member.

The Lions were honored at the silver level for having a yellow-card percentage at 30 percent or less. In 21 games, Behrend received only four yellow cards.
