Women's Soccer Tops AMCC Coaches Preseason Poll

ERIE, Pa. - After winning their 15th overall Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championship last season, the Penn State Behrend women's soccer team has been chosen to finish in first place once again according to the AMCC preseason coaches' poll.

The Lions finished the 2021 season with a 19-2 mark, setting the program record for most wins in a season. Behrend claimed the AMCC crown and returned to the NCAA Tournament for a 12th time in program history. The Lions went 8-0 in conference play and earned the title of AMCC Regular-Season Champions. Senior goalkeeper Morgan Harding (Pittsburgh, PA/Carlynton) was selected AMCC Preseason Co-Defensive Player of the Year.   

Harding returns after earning All-AMCC first-team honors. She did not give up a goal in AMCC contests and ranked second with a 0.32 goals-against average. 

Pitt-Greensburg, the reigning AMCC Champions from 2019, was selected to finish second followed by Mt. Aloysius in third.
