Early Goals Get Women's Soccer Past La Roche in AMCC Opener

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's soccer team scored three goals in the first 27 minutes enroute to a 4-1 win over La Roche in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) opener on Saturday afternoon.

Key Moments

* Audra Kuzma (Center, PA/Central Valley) netted her second goal of the year to put the Lions on the board in the first 10 minutes of the game with an unassisted tally
* In the 19^th minute, Trinity Prestash (Phillipsburg, PA/West Branch) put pressure on a pass back to the La Roche defense and battled to win the ball and slide it past goalie Julianna Hornikel inside the box for a 2-0 lead
* Prestash tallied her second goal less than eight minutes later to a three-goal advantage
* The senior forward made a run up the middle and beat the defender to create a one-on-one opportunity, finding the back of the net once again
* It marks the second game this season Prestash has scored two goals
* By halftime, Behrend had not given up a shot and held a 13-0 advantage
* Five minutes into the second half, Lauren Kiser (Altoona, PA/Altoona) scored her second goal of the season off a square pass from Marlene Andrade (Walnut Creek, CA/Clayton Valley Charter) at the top of the box to make it 4-0
* La Roche scored on its second shot of the game in the 78^th minute
* The Redhawks took a direct kick from midfield and then a 30-yard shot by Chastity Bundy that made its way over Riley Morningstar (North Huntingdon, PA/Norwin)
