Prestash, Croushore, O'Driscoll Headline All-AMCC Women's Soccer Team
Penn State Behrend women’s soccer senior forward Trinity Prestash was named the 2024 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Offensive Player of the Year, while senior defender Nicole Croushore was voted Defensive Player of the Year and Patrick O’Driscoll earned Coach of the Year honors to headline the All-AMCC Team.
ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend women's soccer senior forward Trinity Prestash (Phillipsburg, PA/West Branch) was named the 2024 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Offensive Player of the Year, while senior defender Nicole Croushore (Smithton, PA/Yough) was voted Defensive Player of the Year and Patrick O'Driscoll earned Coach of the Year honors to headline the All-AMCC team.
Behrend landed 10 players on the All-Conference Team, including six on the First Team, two on the Second Team and two on the Third Team. O'Driscoll garnered Coach of the Year honors for the ninth time in his 19 years, leading the Lions to their 18th overall AMCC Championship on Saturday.
Prestash, Croushore, Marlene Andrade (Walnut Creek, CA/Clayton Valley Charter), Audra Kuzma (Center, PA/Central Valley), Megan Krulisky (Clermont, FL/Lockport (NY)) and Riley Morningstar (North Huntingdon, PA/Norwin) were selected to the First Team. Rachel Sickeri (DuBois, PA/DuBois) and Lindsey Pawlawski (Pittsburgh, PA/North Catholic) landed on the Second Team, while Lizzie Hoff (Moon, PA/Moon) and Anna Steinbeck (Windber, PA/Windber) were chosen to the Third Team.
Prestash is making her fourth appearance on the All-AMCC team, including three straight on the First Team. She scored in every conference game, leading the AMCC with 17 goals and two assists for 36 points. Prestash averaged 4.5 points a game in conference play. She had six game winners in the eight games while converting three penalty kicks. Prestash tied a career-high four goals vs. Alfred State and Hilbert during the regular season. Overall, she leads the conference with 27 goals and seven assists for 61 points. Prestash is on a 10-game scoring streak and recently tallied all four goals in the AMCC Championship game. She broke the program record for career goals and needs three more to break the single-season record.
Croushore, the 2024 Defensive Preseason Player of the Year, was chosen to the First Team two years in a row. She started every conference game, holding conference opponents to just one goal for a 0.13 average. Croushore helped the defense post seven shutouts in eight conference games. Overall, the defense held opponents to nine goals over 20 contests for a 0.45 GAA and registered a team total 13 shutouts. She also contributed two goals and one assist for five points.
Kuzma is a First-Team choice for the second straight season. She ranked second in conference play with six goals. She had one assist for 13 points. Kuzma tallied a goal in five conference games, posting one goal and two assists in the win over Carlow. Overall, she is tied for seventh with 18 points. Kuzma registered eight goals and two assists over 20 games for the Lions.
Krulisky is making her first appearance on the All-AMCC team. She started every conference game, holding conference opponents to just one goal for a 0.13 average. Krulisky, Croushore and Pawlawski were instrumental in allowing just nine goals over 20 contests for a 0.45 GAA and registering a team total 13 shutouts.
Andrade lands on the First Team after collecting Third-Team honors a year ago. She started every conference game, dishing out three assists. She controls the offense through the midfield with skill and confidence. Overall, Andrade has four goals and nine assists for 17 points. She has registered at least one point in 10 contests, including two three-point performances. Andrade handed out three assists in the AMCC Championship game.
Morningstar is a two-time All-AMCC First Team selection. She ranked first in conference play in goals-against average at 0.13, allowing just one goal in eight contests. She has six shutouts in eight wins and shared a shutout against Carlow. Morningstar only needed to make four saves in 675 minutes of work. Overall, she has a single-season record of 12 shutouts in 17 wins and only two losses. Morningstar is first the AMCC with eight goals allowed for a 0.43 average.
Sickeri repeats on the All-AMCC Second Team. The sophomore midfielder tied for first in the AMCC with six assists in eight conference games. She also tied for sixth in total points in conference play with 12. Sickeri had three goals and six assists. Overall, she is first with nine assists and ranks fifth in points with 21. She has six goals on the season, scoring two at Alfred State.
Pawlawski joins Sickeri on the Second Team in her first year with the Lions. The transfer started every conference game, holding conference opponents to just one goal. Pawlawski tied for seventh in conference games with three assists for three points.
Hoff and Steinbeck rounded out the All-Conference selections on the Third Team. Both started every conference game. Hoff registered two goals and one assist for five points. Overall, she has scored six goals to go with three assists for 15 points. Hoff has registered a point or more in eight contests. She scored the game winner in a 2-1 win over Capital. Steinbeck, the defensive midfielder, helped the Lions outscore opponents 77-9 this season.
