Baldwin Wallace Defeats Women's Swimming and Diving

BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace women's swimming and diving team posted a 172-83 victory over Penn State Behrend in non-conference action on Saturday.

Lauren Rosato (Pittsburgh, PA/Chartiers Valley) tallied two season-best times in the 100 free and 100 fly. She took second in the 100 free in 1:00.65 and then tied her best time in the 100 fly (1:10.43).

MaryEllen Spooner (Lockhaven, PA/West Springfield) swam her season-best time in the 100 backstroke (1:05.29) for second place. She also took second in the 200 back (2:25.12).

Alex Isaacson (Williamsport, PA/Williamsport) joins Spooner and Rosato with getting two second-place finishes. She touched in 2:57.57 in the 200 breaststroke and 2:38.30 in the 200 IM.

Meghan Wade (Berea, OH/Berea), competing in her hometown, was second in both diving events. She had a season-best score of 243.65 in the 1-meter board for six dives and also took second in the 1-meter competition for five dives (164.50).

Emily Spicher (Falls Creek, PA/DuBois) led the Lions in the 50 free with a time of 30.08 for second, while Georgie Hatch (Pittsburgh, PA/Our Lady of the Sacred Heart) was second in the 500 free (6:27.62).

Behrend returns to action on Tuesday against Gannon for its first home meet, beginning at 5 p.m.
