Behrend Competes at Fredonia Blue Devil Invitational

FREDONIA, NY – The Penn State Behrend women's swimming and diving team are in seventh place out of eight teams after day two of the Fredonia State Blue Devil Invitational on Saturday.

The Lions have 108 points over a two-day span. SUNY Fredonia is in first place with a score of 655 and St. Vincent is in second (452).

MaryEllen Spooner (Lockhaven, PA/West Springfield) had the best finish of the day for Behrend in the 200 backstroke. She touched in 2:15.10 for fifth place.

Meghan Wade (Berea, OH/Berea) led the diving event, placing sixth on the one-meter board. She tallied a score of 385.80.

The Lions return to action tomorrow for the final day of the invitational. Meet begins at 10 a.m.
