Women's Swimming and Diving Falls to Chatham

ERIE, Pa. – Mia Pietropola (Pittsburgh, PA/Plum) and Anna Rose Watterson (Baldwin, PA/Seton-La Salle) each won two individual events, but the Penn State Behrend women's swimming and diving team fell to Chatham 125-97 in non-conference action on Friday night.

Watterson was first in the distance events. She won the 1000 free (11:51.82) first and then was first in the 500 free (5:51.49). Pietropola touched first in the 200 IM (2:21.86) and the 100 breaststroke (1:13.02).

 Jesse Dunleavy (McMurray, PA/Peters Township) picked up the fifth first-place finish for the Lions (0-4) in the 200 freestyle. She won with a time of 2:21.13.

Georgie Hatch (Middletown, MD/Middletown) was second to Watterson in the 1000 and 500 free. She tallied a time of 12:26.51 in the 1000 and 6:08.48 in the 500.

In the 50 freestyle, Mary Therese Causgrove (Erie, PA/McDowell) was second with a time of 29.29, while Lauren Rosato (Pittsburgh, PA/Chartiers Valley) was runner up in the 100 freestyle (1:01.60).

Meagan Daily (Pittsburgh, PA/Our Lady of Sacred Heart) and Alex Isaacson (Williamsport, PA/Williamsport) were second in 100 events. Daily posted a time of 1:07.50 in the 100 butterfly and Isaacson was second in the 100 backstroke (1:09.72).

Behrend returns to action on Tuesday against Gannon. The meet begins at 5 p.m.
