Women's Swimming Falls To Washington & Jefferson

WASHINGTON, Pa. – Mia Pietropola (Pittsburgh, PA/Plum) led the Behrend women's swimming and diving team with three individual wins in a 127-75 loss to Washington & Jefferson in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.

Pietropola swam a winning time of 1:11.25 in the 100 breaststroke, before touching in first in the 200 breaststroke (2:35.55). She finished the day with the top time in the 400 IM (4:56.75).

Alex Issacson (Williamsport, PA/Williamsport) won the 200 backstroke in 2:34.50, while Lauren Rosato (Pittsburgh, PA/Chartiers Valley) collected first place in the 100 butterfly (1:12.98) and 50 free (28.72). Issacson was the Lions' top swimmer in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:10.70, just a second off her season-best time for third.

Mary Therese Causgrove (Erie, PA/McDowell) came in second place to Rosato in the 50 free (31.21) and also was third in the 200 free (2:29.87).

Behrend returns to action on Saturday at Pitt-Bradford. Meet begins at 1 p.m.
