Behrend Falls To St. Vincent

ERIE, Pa. – Mia Pietropola (Pittsburgh, PA/Plum) swept the breaststroke events, winning the 100 and 200 but the Penn State Behrend women's swimming and diving team fell to St. Vincent 142-81 in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.
Alex Isaacson (Williamsport, PA/Williamsport) and Meagan Daily (Pittsburgh, PA/Our Lady of the Sacred Heart) also won an individual event for the Lions.
Pietropola touched in 1:10.25 in the 100 breaststroke, before posting a time of 2:33.28 in the 200 for a pair of wins.
In the 100 butterfly, Daily led with a time of 1:10.42 and Lauren Rosato (Pittsburgh, PA/Chartiers Valley) came in second (1:13.76).
Isaacson, swimming in four events on the day, won the 200 IM (2:33.40). She went on to take second in the 100 backstroke (1:09.60), third in the 200 back (2:31.94).
Hannah Kelly (Elizabeth, PA/South Allegheny) led Behrend in the 500 freestyle, placing second with a time of 6:54.37.
The Lions finished with a win in the 400 freestyle relay including Pietropola, Daily, Kelly and Mary Therese Causgrove (Erie, PA/McDowell). The foursome won in 4:27.41.
Behrend returns to action on Thursday, February 13 at the AMCC Championships hosted by Grove City.
