Lions Compete at Fredonia Blue Devil Invitational

FREDONIA, NY – The Penn State Behrend women's swimming and diving team is in seventh place out of nine teams with 99 points after day one of the Fredonia Blue Devil Invitational on Friday night.

John Carroll paces the field with 270 points while Allegheny is second (243) and SUNY Brockport is third (134).

Maryn Horn (Houston, TX/Jersey Village) had the third fastest time coming out of the prelims in the 50 freestyle and Jessica Wyckoff (Elma, NY/Iroquois) was eighth. Horn stayed in third in the finals with a time of 24.93 and Wyckoff clocked in at 25.69.

Horn, Abigail Witmer (Herndon, VA/Herndon), Gwendolyn Lowery (Bellefonte, PA/Bellefonte) and Wyckoff were the four that took fourth in the 800 free relay in 8:12.03.

The Lions return to action tomorrow for day two of the Blue Devil Invite.
