Women's Swimming & Diving Opens Season at Grove City Classic
The Penn State Behrend women's swimming and diving team placed fifth at the Grove City Fall Classic in their season opener on Saturday.
GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's swimming and diving team placed fifth at the Grove City Fall Classic in their season opener on Saturday.

Event Moments:
* Marcella Puglia (Beaver Falls, PA/Blackhawk) was the top finisher in the 500 freestyle and 1650 freestyle for the Lions. She was third (5:41.93) in the 500 and fifth in the 1650 (19:35.67). Puglia was also 15th in the 50 freestyle in 26.97
* Barbie Cessar (Slippery Rock, PA/Slippery Rock) also had a Top 10 finish for Behrend. She placed eighth in the 200 breaststroke in 2:41.64. Cessar clocked in at 2:29.96 for 14th in the 200 IM.
* Puglia, Cessar, Alison McClure (Loveland, OH/Milford) and Olivia Webster (Hopewell, PA/Hopewell) placed 10th in the 400 freestyle relay with a time of 4:07.73
* In the diving portion, Alli Butler (Vienna, VA/George C. Marshall) was 7th on the 3m board (114.95) and 10th on the 1m board (97.35)
