GAMBIER, Ohio – The Penn State Behrend women's swimming and diving team is fourth out of 13 teams after day one of the Oberlin Invitational on Friday night.
Key Moments:
* The Lions competed in all three events held on the first night
* Marcella Puglia (Beaver Falls, PA/Blackhawk) took ninth in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 18:50.07
* Behrend placed seventh in the 200 medley relay with a time o f 1:58.15 thanks to Puglia, Barbie Cessar (Slippery Rock, PA/Slippery Rock), Alison McClure (Loveland, OH/Milford) and Valerie Grimes (Farmington, PA/Uniontown)
* In the final event, Lacey Grinnen (Warren, PA/Warren), Olivia Webster (Hopewell, PA/Hopewell), Madi Buckley (Huntingdon County, PA/Huntingdon Area) and McClure posted a time of 8:34.36 in the 800 freestyle relay for eighth place
* The Lions have a combined total of 361 with the men to sit in third place in the combined team scores
