GAMBIER, Ohio – The Penn State Behrend women's swimming and diving team slipped into eighth place out of 13 teams with a team score of 328 at the conclusion of day two of the Oberlin Invitational on Saturday.
Key Moments:
* Barbie Cessar (Slippery Rock, PA/Slippery Rock) had the best finish of the day in the 100 breaststroke. The sophomore touched in 1:11.35 for fifth place
* Marcella Puglia (Beaver Falls, PA/Blackhawk) led the Lions in the 500 freestyle, placing sixth with a time of 5:23.62, the fourth best time in program history
* The team of Cessar, Puglia, Lauren Barmore (Ashville, NY/Panama Central) and Trulee Stainbrook (DuBois, PA/DuBois) took seventh in the opening 200 freestyle relay in 1:45.79
* The final relay of Olivia Webster (Hopewell, PA/Hopewell), Cessar, Valerie Grimes (Farmington, PA/Uniontown) and Puglia, touched in 4:22.55 in the 400 medley relay for seventh place
